　　Creating a new Tiggo on the MQB Evo platform can allow Volkswagen to add some new technologies to the model, such as adding a plug-in hybrid version and adaptive suspension system.

　　The new model will be equipped with a 12.9-inch touch screen display, and it is expected that Volkswagen will replace the physical control buttons for seat heating and other functions with numeric buttons.

　　At the CES 2024 held in Las Vegas, Kai Grunitz, the head of Volkswagen brand research and development, told reporters that the new Tiggo will become the brand's last internal combustion engine model.

　　According to data released by market analysis firm Dataforce, the Tiggo was the third best-selling model in the European market in the first 11 months of 2023, with a cumulative registration volume of 191015 vehicles.

　　During the same period, the registration volume of the convertible version of the Tiggo was 11693 vehicles, second only to BMW's Mini convertible in sales, making it the second best-selling convertible model in Europe. Grunitz said, "Only a small percentage of consumers have chosen the convertible version."
